My Favourite Smartphone

iPhone 3G is a great smartphone with many applications to keep their users entertained. Not only does this smartphone entertain its users but it is also a great tool for communication. This smartphone has a touchscreen that is easy to use for texting, dialing, surfing the internet, and playing games. It has many applications that would benefit the user as they go through their daily life. There is a calendar, camera, notes, mail, phone, web browser, calculator, gps, weather, stock, etc.. I can go on and on about the many applications this smartphone has to offer. The good thing is you can run the applications with just 1 click on the screen unlike other phones where you would have to keep pressing buttons to go through the selection of programs. This iPhone can play movies on widescreen, access youtube, and play music for entertainment. The iPhone 3G is my favourite smartphone for now.

Twilight

Twilight is a movie based on the novel. Apparently, this book became very famous among teenagers like myself. The movie came out on 21 November 2008. The genre of the movie is a romance/thriller with a runtime of 122mins. Surprizingly, the movie "Twilight" did not show good ratings at all. In imbd the average rating was 5.8/10. I have not seen the movie yet, but i would like to see it. People who have not seen this movie should check it out because even though the ratings seem low, my friends said it was one of the best movies out this year. Thats up for you to decide.

If you would like more depth information on this movie including actors, plot, etc.

Remembrance Day at Nore Dame Regional Secondary

At Notre Dame Regional Secondary, Vancouver BC, we held a Remembrance Day Ceremony. We honored the Canadian soldiers that gave up their life to keep freedom in this country. There were videos of the Canadian soldiers in the second world war and of the Canadian armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. There were also plays, acted by students, to show us the life a soldier had in a time of war. There was also musical instruments that were played before and after the ceremony. Overall, this was a very memorable experience.

Microsoft Announces New Operating System

Yesterday (October 27, 2008) Microsoft unveiled details of two new operating systems. Currently the most commonly used Microsoft operating systems are Windows XP and Windows Vista. Although frequently criticized, often by those who have never used it, Vista is actually a very stable rich environment in which to work, particularly when used with up-to-date machines.

Nevertheless Microsoft has decided to press ahead with successors for Vista. In late 2009, Windows 7 will be released. It will be much like Vista. Around the same time Microsoft will release Windows Azure, an operating system that lives on Microsoft servers and not in your computer. This is called "Cloud Computing", the "Cloud" being the Internet. Basically this means that you won't need an operating system or programs: they will all live in the "Cloud."

Whether this works out or not remains to be seen. However, many companies are already trying this, both with Microsoft and with Google products.

"Cloud Computing" is one of the most used technology buzz words at persent.

iGoogle

Today I signed up for the iGoogle service and made a couple of minor custom changes. I added a custom widget to display my IP address.
